AS i AM: National Photography & Videography Initiative

AS i AM is a nationwide visual storytelling initiative by The Association of People with Disability (APD), supported by Tanishq and the Azim Premji Foundation. It invites photographers, filmmakers and visual storytellers from across India to document disability as it is lived, moving beyond stereotypes of pity and inspiration.

The initiative seeks to build a diverse and authentic visual repository that reflects the everyday lives, identities, aspirations and agency of persons with disabilities. Selected entries will receive recognition, mentorship opportunities and become part of a permanent visual archive.

Entries are open until 31 October 2026, with winners scheduled to be announced on 3 December 2026, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
