Ramesh Gongadi joined APD as a Assistant Director –Strategy, currently he is working as a Assistant Director –RSO (Resource Support to Organizations). He has over 14 years of working experience in the development sector. Ramesh has a, Master’s in Social Work from School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore and MBA in HRM & Rural Management from IIBM New Delhi.
Earlier he worked with Kalike –An Associate Organization of TATA Trusts as Project Director in Yadgir for five years, worked with Diocesan Social Service Centers under Karnataka Regional Organization for Social Services (KROSS) Bangalore, State Training & Resource Center (STRC) a collaborative project of BIRDS, KSAPS and NACO for five years. He supported implementing agencies, with key role to support/monitor project team. Ramesh‘s core skill areas are elementary education, health, disability, community development, monitoring and supportive supervision.
His engagement with disability work includes support to children with learning difficulties, had involved in conducting survey & needs assessment of PWDs. He represented the NGOs of Yadgir district for UNDP’s Human Development Index study 2013-14. He also participated in KSAPS annual Targeted Interventions (TIs) evaluation as an External Evaluator conducted by NACO in the year 2008-09.
His present role in APD is to work with the partner NGOs to improve the operational excellence for effective growth of the partner organization, work with Government at the state and district level to pro-actively develop operational framework for implementation of early stage Intervention and early education and provide the local network and contacts for enabling the growth and sustainability of the project.
His hobbies are listening to Music, watching cricket, gardening and conducting sessions on ‘Personal Growth & Professional Development and Project Management’ for the students of Social work and NGOs.
